Recent Events
Relay Day
The
weather was great for the athletes, a bit chilly for the spectators but overall, a great day. Well done and thank you to all
the athletes and families who contributed to the day and an extra well done to the teams that enjoyed success on the podium.
Under 12 Girls earned Silver medals in the Field, Under 16 girls earned Gold medals in the Field, Under 17 boys earned Silver
medals in the Field and our Under 13 boys earned Silver medals in the 4 X 400m. Congratulations to all.
Regional Day 2008
The lead up to Regional Day was a bit chaotic due to venue and program
changes but in the end it went underway. Noarlunga wasn't represented in a large number of athletes which is often
the case for a Friday night meet as other sporting commitments clash. That is understandable. Well done to the athletes
and families that did attend. We even had some away records set.
Visit to Reynella East
Well
done to all the families that took the opportunity to visit Reynella East as they played host to ourselves and Plympton. The
day went well and we send our thanks to Reynella East for the use of their facilities.

Upcoming Events
Sunday December 21st 2008 Final meet for the year and Christmas break up Picnic A
two week break over Christmas and New Year is celebrated by our break-up picnic. The day will start with a regular athletics
meet and then we encourage families to bring a rug and chairs and sit under the trees and mingle with other families in a
picnic atmosphere. Bring along some food and drinks or enjoy the offerings from the BBQ and canteen. There will be some fun
and games for the families too.

Santos Stadium
Please refer to page 10 in your information booklet. PB Day is for all registered athletes from
Tiny Tots to Under 17.

Multi Event Day at Santos Stadium
Please
refer to page 11 in your information booklet. Multi Event Day is for registered athletes from Under 9 to Under 17. We will
have a twilight meet at Wirreanda on the Friday night before for all age groups.
Saturday and Sunday
March 21st & 22nd 2009
State Individual Championships at Santos Stadium

in your information booklet. This weekend is for athletes who have qualified to paticipate at the Championships from Under
9 and up.
Sunday March 29th
AGM, Presentation & Break-up
Starting at 11am
sharp in the Wirreanda school gym, we have our season ending Presentation and break up picnic. All registered athletes that
have returned after Christmas wiil receive awards and age group winners will be announced and awarded trophies. Then stick
around for a picnic style family atmosphere with a jumping castle for the younger athletes and other activities for all
the family.
